I’m completely over the flu now. I drank so much water, took so much Nyquil and slept all day that the flu did not last that long. Woohoo! OK, let me get down to the nitty gritty. You know when you go and see your favorite band and at the merch table someone did a show poster. Sometimes you see the artists signing his shit and at other times you don't see anyone but, you've wondered who the artist is and where else can I find his art. Well, you can find out now. I'm dedicating on my radio show every week a poster artist from GIGPOSTERS.COM! What's GIGPOSTERS you may be asking? Well, GIGPOSTERS.COM is a website where poster artists from all over the world show off their art. Its also has a kick ass forum. You can look at all the artists posters, find your favorite bands posters, info on the artists themselves, gallery shows, hire an artist for your show, learn how to do posters, buy merchandise and so much more. Goto GIGPOSTERS.COM and find your favorite band/artist right now.
The first artist I was going to have on the airwaves was the Big Enchilada himself, Clay. He's the founder, C.E.O., owner of GIGPOSTERS.COM. Unfortunately, he's under the weather and can not call in. DAMN THE FLU!! Anyway, I was thinking who could do it and since I live in San Francisco, homegrown poster artists, THE FIREHOUSE! Chuck Sperry and Ron Donovan have been doing poster art since the early 90's. Them two have been all over the world spreading the gospel of "The Screen". Their art is made at times for huge festivals and all the way to the smallest of local punk shows. These guys have a book and are in other art books, do stickers, teach classes on screen printing, collaborate with other artists and they have no intention of stopping anytime soon. These guys are non-stop RocknRollers and their art will ROCK you as well. Here's a website on the internets I found on them, check it out. FIREHOUSE POSTERS . So, check out the radio show online at KSCU 103.3FM and tune in at 6:30PM (PST) for the interview.

This Saturday I’ll be hanging in the ‘hood over at Thee Parkside too see some old friends of mine jamming once again. Chris O and Clark are former members of Killer’s Kiss and they have a new band, EPIC SESSIONS. Also on the bill is HOT LUNCH which is Eric Shea's new band with Rob Alper (ex-Sermon drummer), and then the Nowheres which is a new Sacramento band with guys from the SLA! Come on out for the booze and the music.

Don't forget to check out the radio show every Thursday online at
KSCU 103.3FM 4TO7PM (PST). I got so much new music that you don't want to miss it. Also, If you missed my radio show, I podcast at the links to the right of you. Go ahead, put 'em in your iPhone or whatever gadget you may have these days.
It's a new year everybody so, make sure to spread the word to all your friends in bands, record labels and anybody else to send music for possible radio airplay here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Have a cool weekend, and take care. CHEERS!
