ITALIA/16/MENDOZZA/ANNIHILATION TIME/PLAYLISTS/TOP 10

First off, RIP Lux Interior of The Cramps. He was an incredible entertainer and he will be missed dearly.

Well, I’m not going to SXSW nor the Maryland Death Fest after all. Nope, I’ll be going to ITALY FOR A MONTH instead! WHOO HOO!! I’m going to be staying with some friends of mine in Milano and do 2-3 days trips here and there. All I wanna do is have a “real” vacation. I’ll be doing slight sightseeing here and there but, I wanna chill with my friends and chill by the Mediterranean and other bodies of water (Lake Como). I’m starting to do my itinerary and hope to have everything down right before I leave (March 27^th to April 27^th). More to come……

Until then, I’ll still be going out and see bands. Speaking of that, this Friday, February 6^th at Thee Parkside here in San Francisco will probably be one of “thee best” shows of 2009. I’m talking about the return of 16! 16 is a L.A. sludge/hardcore/metal band that formed back in the early 90’s. They have tons of records out there and took a break for a while. Now, they have a new album on Relapse Records, Bridges To Burn and they are back! Also on the bill are some friends of mine Canada, MENDOZZA! Come early because they play first and you will not want too miss them at all. Oh yeah, two other bands on the bill as well, Floating Goat and Giant Squid.

Saturday is a chill day for me and then on Sunday the 8^th again at Thee Parkside is the return of ANNIHILATION TIME! I love how these kids take Hardcore and Punk and spin it somehow to fuckin ROCK and that’s what I’m looking forward to seeing AT. It’s an early show (doors at 4pm) so you’ll be able to make it back home in time for your mommy’s soup. HAHAHA!!! Anyway, come on out, its all ages and who know when Annihilation Time will play again. See you there!

Don’t forget I’m at PIRATE CAT RADIO here in the Mission District of San Francisco. This year, i'm going to try to get more interviews and bands to play live in the cafe. Oh yeah, the station is also a cafe. THE FORGOTTEN & IN-STUDIO/JEFFREY LUCK LUCASPLAYLIST/TOP 10/RADIO

I am taking it easy this weekend. Last weekend was a 4 day bender in 2 days. HA! But, I do have one show that I'll be going to. I'll be seeing THE FORGOTTEN at Thee Parkside this Sunday, February 1st. THE FORGOTTEN is a San Jose/Campbell, CA Punk Rock band that was formed back in 1997. A couple of months after they formed, TKO Records heard how rad they were and threw them on the label (#2 to be exact). Ever since then, they've toured countlessly around the US, Canada, Europe and even have gone to Japan (I hear they're big in Japan). These boys have seen fads and copy bands alike come and go and they've kept running them over and over and over....With a full complete circle, THE FORGOTTEN are back with TKO, out with a new album and once again going forward at full-speed. Gordy will in the studio with me tomorrow at 6PM (PST) on KSCU. The band hasn't been on my show in a while so we have a lot of shit to talk about and catch up on. KILLING TIL OBLIVION TOUR/AMEBIX/ANNIHILATION TIME/PLAYLIST/TOP 10

I hate being sick! I felt just like the people in the NyQuil commercials. I'll give you a Mexican remedy on how to get over a cold or flu. First, buy some or get someone to make you some chicken soup. Then, pour some in a soup bowl and throw in some jalapenos, red or green chilis and hot sauce and BOOM, you will feel better in no time. Sweat that shit out! Drink gallons of water and take Vitamin C up the ass. Not really up your ass but, take a lot. So, that's my rememdy and it works all the time. Oh yeah, rest as well. Now, I'm ready to party this weekend and just in time for some bad ass shows...

This Saturday, January 24th at Thee Parkside, Whore For Satan Presents: KILLING TIL OBLIVION TOUR: CATTLE DECAPITATION, PSYOPUS, BOOK OF BLACK EARTH, GIGAN and EYES OF NOCTUM! WOW! Talk about Metal Up Yer Ass! This show is going to be wicked and I better start to exercise my neck becasue I'm going to be doing A LOT of headbanging. Come on out, it's ALL AGES and its $12. That is fuckin cheap for a Metal show like this. So, get your blue jean or leather jacket out for this and get ready to go CRAZEEEEEEE!!!! See you there!

The following day on Sunday the 25th at Great American Music Hall, AMEBIX will be performing. These guys practically started Crust Punk and are still around and doing it RIGHT! Alternative Tentacles just released, "No Sanctuary - The Spiderleg Recordings" and these classic songs were remastered by Jell Biafra himself. They sound good, they look good and they'll even sound better LIVE! Also on the bill that night is our boys from the Eastbay, ANNIHILATION TIME. These guys have been on a pretty good well-deserved break and now, its time to get off the couch, drop the bong & the chips and time for some live shit. C'mon guys, one-two-three-four-ONE! One-two-three-four-TWO! I think they're hitting the gym or something I heard. Oh yeah, and from Portland, OR to open the show up is, HELLSHOCK. 2009!!/FIREHOUSE ART SHOW/LE HATEPINKS (France)/2 RADIO SHOWS/PLAYLISTS/TOP 10

Well, another new year is upon and it looks good....for me though! Yes, this year I'm turning the BIG 40! WOW! 40 fuckin years and I though I wasn't going to make it past 30 but, I'm here and having a great time. This year I'm going on a bunch of trips. I'm headin back to my hometown of San Antonio and then SXSW. The month of April I'll be in Italy for practically the whole month. May is my B-Day and I'm throwing a party. The summer I'll be heading around the US for some music festivals. Back again to Bumbershoot in Seattle, CMJ NYC and so on. So, 2009 is looking fine and I feel fine and it's time to ROCK!

This Friday I'll be heading to my friends Poster show. I thinks its the first show back in San Francisco since they moved to the East Bay earlier last year. Anyway, here are the details and this should be a good one.

This Sunday I'll be getting my drink and Punk on at Thee Parkside for Le Hatepinks! These kids from France took me on a fuckin stereo ride when i first heard them a couple of years ago. They play the dirty Punk Rock that I like and they can play along the side of anybody that is put up right next to them in this punk world. I'm glad too see them finally in the states, I'm glad that TKO Records stepped up to put out their shit here in the states and its all going to be worth it this Sunday the 18th. Supporting acts are NERVOUS TICS and THE LUXURY SWEETS. All this at Thee Parkside and for you minors, the show starts at 8 o'clock so you don't get in trouble with grandma, mommy or daddy. See ya...

HAPPY HOLIDAZE!/BUTTHOLE SURFERS IN SAN FRANCISCO/BEST OF 2008 METAL & ROCK

Well, we made it through another year of radio. Thanks everybody for making 2008 pretty cool and I can't wait too see what's in store for 2009. A friend of mine that works for The Fillmore is letting me pass out a couple ticets to the BUTTHOLE SURFERS show December 30th and New Years Eve. If you live in the San Francsico Bay Area, be sure to tune in or listen online tomorrow (KSCU) and next Tuesday (PIRATE CAT RADIO) to win a pair of tix. WOW!
