IIIIII'M BAAAAACK!!!!/BRUTAL TRUTH INTERVIEW/40th B-DAY BASH!

That's right! For a month i've been on vacation and it was the greatest time. My friends (and new) took care of this TexMex vato in Milano, Italy and I want to thank them very very much. So now, I have a lot to catch up on and I already have a interview lined up. Tomorrow, April 28th at 4PM (PST) i will have Rich Hoak of BRUTAL TRUTH on my radio show at Pirate Cat Radio 87.9FM San Francisco, L.A., 104.8 in Berlin, Germany and of course streaming online at WWW.PIRATECATRADIO.COM. TEXAS/ITALY/BLACK COBRA/NO RADIO SHOW/PLAYLIST/TOP 10

After a year and a half, I'm finally going back to my hometown of San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, March 10th and I'm missing SXSW (Oh well, maybe next year). I'm going too see my family, do some fishing at the coast, bar b q, see some friends and visit some graves. It'll be good to get away. So, I am not doing both of my radio shows until Thursday, March 19th. Then, I leave to Italy on Friday, March 27th and i can't wait for that to happen. YEAH!!!

Before I go back to Texas, I'm seeing one more band, BLACK COBRA! BC just signed with Southern Lord Records and they deserve a great fuckin label like that. They've been putting out great metal for the past couple of years, touring like maniacs and they are one of the hardest working bands out right now. BC is even playing my 40th B-Day Party on May 14th (see attachment). Anyway, along with BC on the bill at Annie's Social Club will be Eternal Elysium, Dusted Angel & Damnweevil. Its an early Sunday show at 5PM so, come on out and see some great Metal!

HELP ME WITH BANDS TRAVELING IN ITALY/ONE HUNDRED SUNS/PLAYLISTS/TOP 10

So, I'll be in Milan, Italy from March 27th through the end of April. I wish I can check every webiste, myspace profile, blogs, etc to find out whom will be touring there but, its impossible. Its going to be another chill weekend for me except for Sunday, March 1st. ONE HUNDRED SUNS will be having a CD release party at Thee Parkside along with Grayceon (SF) and The Wanteds from Portland, OR. ITALIA/16/MENDOZZA/ANNIHILATION TIME/PLAYLISTS/TOP 10

First off, RIP Lux Interior of The Cramps. He was an incredible entertainer and he will be missed dearly.

Well, I’m not going to SXSW nor the Maryland Death Fest after all. Nope, I’ll be going to ITALY FOR A MONTH instead! WHOO HOO!! I’m going to be staying with some friends of mine in Milano and do 2-3 days trips here and there. All I wanna do is have a “real” vacation. I’ll be doing slight sightseeing here and there but, I wanna chill with my friends and chill by the Mediterranean and other bodies of water (Lake Como). I’m starting to do my itinerary and hope to have everything down right before I leave (March 27^th to April 27^th). More to come……

Until then, I’ll still be going out and see bands. Speaking of that, this Friday, February 6^th at Thee Parkside here in San Francisco will probably be one of “thee best” shows of 2009. I’m talking about the return of 16! 16 is a L.A. sludge/hardcore/metal band that formed back in the early 90’s. They have tons of records out there and took a break for a while. Now, they have a new album on Relapse Records, Bridges To Burn and they are back! Also on the bill are some friends of mine Canada, MENDOZZA! Come early because they play first and you will not want too miss them at all. Oh yeah, two other bands on the bill as well, Floating Goat and Giant Squid.

Saturday is a chill day for me and then on Sunday the 8^th again at Thee Parkside is the return of ANNIHILATION TIME! I love how these kids take Hardcore and Punk and spin it somehow to fuckin ROCK and that’s what I’m looking forward to seeing AT. It’s an early show (doors at 4pm) so you’ll be able to make it back home in time for your mommy’s soup. HAHAHA!!! Anyway, come on out, its all ages and who know when Annihilation Time will play again. See you there!

THE FORGOTTEN & IN-STUDIO/JEFFREY LUCK LUCASPLAYLIST/TOP 10/RADIO

I am taking it easy this weekend. Last weekend was a 4 day bender in 2 days. HA! But, I do have one show that I'll be going to. I'll be seeing THE FORGOTTEN at Thee Parkside this Sunday, February 1st. THE FORGOTTEN is a San Jose/Campbell, CA Punk Rock band that was formed back in 1997. A couple of months after they formed, TKO Records heard how rad they were and threw them on the label (#2 to be exact). Ever since then, they've toured countlessly around the US, Canada, Europe and even have gone to Japan (I hear they're big in Japan). These boys have seen fads and copy bands alike come and go and they've kept running them over and over and over....With a full complete circle, THE FORGOTTEN are back with TKO, out with a new album and once again going forward at full-speed. Gordy will in the studio with me tomorrow at 6PM (PST) on KSCU. The band hasn't been on my show in a while so we have a lot of shit to talk about and catch up on. I'm still doing radio at PIRATE CAT RADIO here in the Mission District of San Francisco. This year, i'm going to try to get more interviews and bands to play live in the cafe. Oh yeah, the station is also a cafe. While you're sipping on your Italian soda, coffee, hot tea, enjoying FREE internet or whatever, you can see me, the interviewers, the interviewees, the bands and the other DJ's doing what we do best... and that's spinning records and talking shit.
