What's up everybody? I'm enjoying my summer so far. It's finally getting warm here in San Francisco but, I was in Vegas last week for the LV Shakedown and it was 112 degrees. YIKES! It was fun anyway and the hotel was fun too (4 Queens). Besides doing some traveling and chillin', I'm glad though to be back on the airwaves this week.

As I've been telling you for the last couple of months already, my new radio show starts tomorrow here in San Francisco, Tuesday the 24th

YES! THE THRASH ATTACK is back on tomorrow, Thursday, July 8th from 5-7PM (PST) at KSCU 103.3FM or streaming online at www.kscu.org I have so much new music to squeeze in a two-hour slot that I'll have little time for chit-chat and more to ROCK!! The new station I'm a part of (RADIO VALENCIA) will be broadcasting and streaming by the end of July and hopefully my first show will be Tuesday, July 27th. If everything works out and the radio gods like us, it'll all be coming together soon. I can't wait to get back on the airwaves here in San Francisco so i can spin my personal vinyl collection of Metal, Thrash, Powerviolence, Hardcore, Stoner, Doom, Industrail, Punk, Rock, Noise Rock, Post-Everything, Country, Garage, etc and get bands into the station and play fully live. NEW radio station news, VOETSEK, THE PIST, BLACK TUSK, DARK CASTLE, TOP 10

Well, I'm still on break from radio this summer at KSCU and it feels pretty good. I'm still reviewing music, doing charts and accepting new music like always. I also have good news. A new pirate station is starting up and yours truley is a part of it. We go live in a couple of weeks and we're called, RADIO VALENCIA. The station is right in the Mission District of San Francisco and I will continue TERRIBLE TUESDAY'S w/NAKED ROB! So, I'll be spinning everything from shit from my vast collection of old vinyl and of course new stuff that comes my way on a daily basis. I'll be giving you more info as soon as we go live. Or, like our friend from FOX News, Bill O'Reiley would say, "I'LL DO IT LIVE!" HAHAHA!!

This weekend I'll be seeing some great fuckin music. The return of THE PIST will be performing this Friday the 25th along with VOETSEK at Sub-Mission here in the Mission District of San Francisco. I'm also seeing BLACK TUSK, DARK CASTLE & ZOROASTER at Thee Parkside this Saturday the 26th. Hopefully I'll be doing an interview with BLACK TUSK as well and i'll have it on my podcast and the airwaves at a later date.

No radio show this summer, Still Loud Rock Director and doing CMJ charting, Picking up shifts

As the subject reads, I will not be doing radio at KSCU 103.3FM for the summer ONLY. As the station got moved into another building a few months ago, that building has opening & closing hours (who would of thought). Its something like Mon-Fri 6AM-7PM and Sat/Sun 10AM-6PM. So, I chose to give up my slot time because THE THRASH ATTACK takes three hours to do and I don't want to rush anything in a two hour slot. THE THRASH ATTACK and I will be back on the airwaves this September to tear it up once again. Also, I'm still going to be the Loud Rock Director, sending out my updates and doing CMJ charting so please, keep sending music like always. After 10 years of being on the radio at KSCU, I look it as a well needed break. I'll be doing a lot of traveling, my girlfriend is staying with me for a month, Vegas Shakedown in August and I'll be picking up shifts from time to time as well. I'll still be a part of KSCU and here for you too. If you have any questions, let me know.

Sorry about not sending out a radio update last week. Sometimes I get sooooo lazy that I don’t want to do anything. Especially when the weather is still in “winter” mode. HA!

Tomorrow on the show, I’ll be having John Petkovic of SWEET APPLE. SWEET APPLE is a new supergroup with DINOSAUR JR’S J.Mascis (drums/guitar/vocals). COBRA VERDE’S Tim Parnin (guitar), John Petkovic (vocals/guitar) and WITCH’S Dave Sweetapple (bass/vocals). They have a new album out on Tee Pee Records and a 7” record on newly VALLEY KING RECORDS out of San Francisco. The band had a great reception at this year’s SXSW and hopefully a full on American tour later this year. Check out the interview at 4:30PM (PST) tomorrow, May 26^th only on THE THRASH ATTACK!
